Alumni invited to jet to London for Saints game in October

This fall, the Tulane University Alumni Association will offer the trip of a lifetime to Tulanians, die-hard Who Dats and Miami Dolphins fanatics. Alumni and guests can select from several travel packages to watch the New Orleans Saints take on the Dolphins at Wembley Stadium in London on Sunday, Oct. 1.

This marks the first time that the association is offering an international travel package for a Saints game day.

“As an office, we’ve been trying to slowly but surely expand our outreach over there,” said Will Burdette, director of marketing and communications for the Office of Alumni Relations.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to connect with fellow alumni who are living abroad.”

There are approximately 135 Tulane alumni who currently live in the greater London area.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to connect with fellow alumni who are living abroad, especially with British Airways now doing direct flights from New Orleans,” said Ashley Perkins, director of lifelong learning for the Office of Alumni Relations. “We have several travel packages available as well as a game-day-only package for people living in London.”

The packages range from four- to six-night stays with accommodations provided by the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge.

Alumni will have the opportunity to network across the pond at several events, including a pregame tailgate party, a postgame reception, a hop-on, hop-off city sightseeing tour and a dinner cruise on the Thames River.

The travel packages are available online.
