Doctors on Call Monday Nights

"Tulane on Call," the weekly television series featuring Tulane Medical Center staff physicians, has moved to a new channel on TV sets across greater New Orleans. The Monday night program, in its second year on air, can now be seen on Cox Channel 4, a far more viewable position on TV sets according to the show's producer/host, Jerry Romig.

Formerly, the show was seen on Cox Channel 10.

"The move to Channel 4 by Cox places us immediately adjacent to Channel 3, the most popular of local channels," Romig says. "Most viewers tend to change channels frequently and our being seen now on 4 should increase our viewing audience considerably."

Tulane Medical Center staff physicians are featured on the show Mondays at 7 p.m. Each show repeats on Tuesday at 8 p.m. With a question-answer format, viewers have the opportunity to call in with questions of their own.

Doctors scheduled during the month of March are:

  • March 1 – Dr. Rebecca Metzinger, associate professor of ophthalmology, discussing cataracts and glaucoma
  • March 8 – Dr. Margie Kahn, associate professor of clinical obstetrics and gynecology, on female incontinence
  • March 15 – Dr. Sheryl Martin-Schild, assistant professor of psychiatry and neurology, on strokes
  • March 22 – Dr. Lumie Kawasaki, associate professor of clinical medicine, on the elderly and depression
