Jesmyn Ward, associate professor in the Tulane University School of Liberal Arts, will join author Nathaniel Rich on Thursday, Oct. 12, for a conversation about her acclaimed novel Sing, Unburied, Sing.

The book talk begins at 6 p.m. at the Garden District Book Shop, located at 2727 Prytania St., in New Orleans. Ward, who teaches in the Department of English, will sign books following the presentation.

Anyone unable to attend the book signing can call  the store at (504) 895-2266 ahead of the event to order a signed copy of the book. Shipping is available.

Sing, Unburied, Sing was announced Wednesday as one of five finalists in the fiction category for the 2017 National Book Award. A win would make Ward a two-time recipient of the award, which she won in 2011 for Salvage the Bones.
