Photographers to Discuss Gender Representation

Four artists whose work is featured in the latest Carroll Gallery exhibit, "Muse," will speak at a symposium tonight (Jan. 21) on the aesthetics and politics of gender representation.

Tanyth Berkeley, Eve Fowler, Katy Grannan and Dana Hoey will be guest speakers at the symposium from 6:30–8 p.m. in Freeman Auditorium in the Woldenberg Art Center on the uptown campus. Stephen Hilger, visiting professor in photography who curated the exhibit, will serve as moderator.

A reception for the artists in the Carroll Gallery will follow the symposium. The exhibit, which runs through Feb. 12, features portraits of women by the four American female photographers.
