Members of the India Association of New Orleans join with the India Association of Tulane University for one of the largest Diwali celebrations in the city.

The Tulane India association welcomes anyone who wishes to dance and provides choreographers for individuals who need help putting dances together.

Children from the local community who regularly practice dance to maintain their Indian culture and traditions participate in the festival marking the victory of good over evil.

Dance groups of Tulane students and children take the stage in McAlister Auditorium on the uptown campus before a catered dinner in the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life.

Dancers range from those who have been classically training for years to others who find Indian culture fascinating.
