Tulane student Elizabeth Isabel, a rising junior majoring in neuroscience, transfers tau proteins into a gel in the lab of Anne Robinson, the Catherine and Henry Boh Professor of Engineering. The proteins will be studied to identify distinct behaviors that cause them to expire. Abnormal proteins destroy brain cells and lead to memory loss associated with Alzheimer’s disease.
