Sponsored by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which bills itself as the “world's largest general scientific society,” CASE provides its participants an “opportunity to learn from science policy and advocacy experts about the role of science in policymaking and the federal policy-making process.” Tulane PhD students who attended are: Tyler Crum (Biomedical Sciences), John Argentino (Mathematics), India Pursell (Neuroscience) and Louay Bachnak (Biomedical Sciences).
