WHAT: Tulane University School of Medicine White Coat Ceremony

WHERE: Hyatt Regency, 601 Loyola Dr., New Orleans

WHEN: 2 p.m., Sunday, July 31. Doors open at 1 p.m.

MORE: New medical students don their white doctor's coat for the first time, marking the start of their induction into the medical profession. Joining the celebration are the students' families, friends and professors at the School of Medicine. The ceremony's keynote speaker is entrepreneur Dr. Joseph Horton, a medical device inventor, Tulane University School of Medicine graduate and retired neurointerventional radiologist.
