After graduating from the Tulane University School of Continuing Studies with a post-baccalaureate degree in journalism in 2012, Yellin now works as a sports reporter for WWL-TV covering the Saints.
As the Saints-beat writer for WWL-TV, New Orleans" CBS affiliate, Yellin will attend every home and away game this season. Each week, he makes television appearances to discuss the latest news pertaining to the team. When it comes to the black and gold, Yellin is the man to know.
“I am always at the Saints facility during the week,” he says. “At the games, I assist in putting together our pregame show and then stick around to air the postgame show afterward.”
Prior to his time with WWL-TV, Yellin spent nearly two years working for The Times-Picayune as a sports writer and high school sports network producer in the New Orleans area.
The Tulane alumnus won the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Contest in 2012 and the New Orleans Press Club Excellence in Journalism Writing Contest in 2013.
According to Yellin, his time in the School of Continuing Studies helped him reach the point in his career where he is today.
“The program was fantastic,” he says. “All of my classes were small and my professors were all very helpful with offering advice and encouragement to pursue this profession.”
