Auction, raffles to benefit student-athletes
The 10th annual Helluva Hullabaloo Auction and Party on Oct. 21 will offer a fun-filled Friday night on the uptown campus, featuring food, drink and chances to bid on travel, sports and entertainment experiences.
The 10th annual Helluva Hullabaloo Auction and Party is scheduled for Oct. 21 during the homecoming celebration.
The party and auction are part of Tulane Homecoming and Family Weekend.
All proceeds from the auction directly support Tulane student-athletes. A silent auction starts at 6 p.m. in the Lavin-Bernick Center on the Tulane uptown campus, followed by a live auction led by New Orleans broadcast journalist Lee Zurik as the auctioneer.
Two raffles also are offered. Raffle tickets of $50 each are being sold for a chance to win a Rolex watch worth $6,300. Only 400 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held at the Tulane homecoming game on Oct. 22. The winner need not be present.
Another raffle features a package for the Oct. 16 New Orleans Saints game in Tampa, Fla. The package includes two 50-yard-line club seats, pregame sideline passes, pregame meal, parking, two-night stay and airfare in the continental United States (a $2,600 value). Raffle tickets are available for $25 each or five tickets for $100. The drawing for the package will be held on Oct. 1, and the winner will be notified by email.
