Bayou state
Kayakers pass beneath the Magnolia Bridge that crosses Bayou St. John at Harding Street in Mid-City. Commonly known as the Cabrini Bridge due to its proximity to Cabrini High, the bridge once allowed vehicular traffic, and included a streetcar track. Restored in 1936 by the WPA and again in 1989 for pedestrian use, it is one of the oldest surviving bridges in New Orleans, and a popular hangout for locals.
