When the mercury rises, everybody looks for a way to stay cool.

Toula, a 12-year-old retriever mix, cools down in the Gumbel Memorial Fountain, directly across St. Charles Avenue from the Tulane University uptown campus. Toula"s owner, Cyril Gracianette, says the fountain is one of her favorite swimming holes during the summer.
