City Council honors Tulane football team

The New Orleans City Council honored the Cotton Bowl Champion Tulane Football team with a proclamation during its meeting on Thursday, Feb. 2. Coming back from a difficult 2021 season that was disrupted by Hurricane Ida, the Green Wave rode to victory this season, clenching historic wins in the American Athletic Conference Championship and the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. The team, led by Head Coach Willie Fritz, finished its season ranked No. 9 in the nation.
