Cliff Schuler celebrates 40 years at Tulane

Clifford Schuler, a maintenance assistant supervisor, has worked his entire career in plumbing at Tulane University Health Sciences Center. This month, he is being recognized for 40 years of service. And he isn’t ready to retire yet.

Schuler is among the 360 employees who are being honored for milestone anniversaries at Tulane University. He began work at Tulane on Dec. 5, 1975. He started in the same plumbing shop where his father worked from 1963–1991.

Each day before he starts his workday at Tulane, Schuler gets his exercise by walking throughout the health sciences center campus. People in his department refer to that exercise as his “warm-up” before he starts his day.

“Always jovial and working with a smile on his face, Cliff has the best customer service attitude.”

·     Wednesday (March 23) in the Qatar Ballroom of the Lavin-Bernick Center uptown

·     March 21 at the health sciences center campus

·     March 14 at the Tulane National Primate Research Center

These employees represent 4,885 combined years of service.
