Dancing and drumming

Tulane students joined in for free Congolese dance classes presented by internationally renowned teacher, choreographer and performer Titos Sompa.

His classes in the McWilliams Hall dance studio on March 19–22 were sponsored by the Newcomb Dance Program, the Tulane Department of Theatre and Dance and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Music Foundation. Sompa also is a master drummer and percussionist who founded the first Congolese dance company in America.
