Devon Walker shirts on sale
Miguel Coleman, an air-conditioning shop assistant at Tulane, surveys the size of a T-shirt being sold to benefit injured Green Wave football player Devon Walker. The shirts, along with wristbands designed with Walker's name and number, went on sale Friday (Sept. 14) afternoon on the Lavin-Bernick Center quad. The shirts sell for $20 and come with a free wristband. All net proceeds will be donated to a fund established for Walker. The shirts also are available online as well as at the Tulane bookstore.
Tulane senior Jesse Schwartz orders additional T-shirts in time for a student-sponsored pep rally for Walker scheduled for later in the afternoon. Schwartz and fellow senior Brad Girson, who own their own clothing line, designed and are marketing the T-shirts and wristbands to benefit Walker, who suffered a cervical fracture during a football game.
