ESPN's Mike and Mike come to Tulane

On Tuesday (Jan. 29), the co-hosts of ESPN's "Mike & Mike in the Morning" will speak to an audience in McAlister Auditorium on the Tulane University uptown campus about Super Bowl XLVII and all things sports.

Mike Golic, a former NFL lineman, and Mike Greenberg, a television and radio personality, make up the show's duo known for their very different approaches to sports talk.

Greg Feiling, assistant director of student programs, says the Tulane University Campus Programming board was interested in bringing a sports-related speaker to campus in light of the city's upcoming Super Bowl festivities.

“We wanted a really recognizable name and are very excited to have Mike and Mike on campus,” says Feiling.

Their show is simulcast on ESPN2 and often features contributions from professional athletes and other sports analysts. Though the talk at McAlister will not be taped as part of the radio show, the hosts will entertain questions from audience members.

The free event begins at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public. It is sponsored by TUCP's Direction Series, which has included speakers such as Al Gore and Steve Jobs in the past.

Greg Thomson is a sophomore at Tulane who is studying communication.
