Final touches

A new exhibition at the Newcomb Art Museum opens Wednesday.

Larry Barnes, a worker with DTZ, polishes the floor under the watchful eye of a KAWS statue in the Newcomb Art Museum in preparation for a new exhibition, “A Shared Space: KAWS, Karl Wirsum and Tomoo Gokita.” The exhibition opens Wednesday (Sept. 9) with an art talk featuring the artist KAWS and museum director Monica Ramírez-Montagut at Dixon Hall on the Tulane University uptown campus. A reception will follow from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. at the museum.
