The Green Room: An insider's look at CELT

Have you ever wondered about the Center for Engaged Learning (CELT) at Tulane University? For that matter, have you wondered what, exactly, is “engaged learning”?

In this episode of the Green Room, the New Wave interviews a few key members from CELT, to get an insider’s perspective on how CELT enhances undergraduate education at Tulane. For that is exactly why CELT opened its doors in 2011, as part of the Quality Enhancement Plan as required by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools reaccreditation process.

CELT provides theoretical and applied resources, tools and direction to the university community to realize the goal of engaged learning at Tulane. Located in the Richardson Building on the Tulane uptown campus, CELT opens its doors to all students and faculty who need resources in three key areas: Classroom Engagement, Experiential Engagement and Research Engagement.

CELT executive director Susann Lusnia, an associate professor in classical studies, associate professor of history Elisabeth McMahon, and Tulane student Jeremy Apolinski are featured in this podcast.
