Holocaust survivor to speak Thursday

Eva Kor, a Holocaust survivor and a twin experimented on at age 10 by Josef Mengele, will speak on “Ethics in Medicine and Research: Lessons from Dr. Mengele's Lab” on Thursday (Sept. 6) in a lecture hosted by Tulane University School of Medicine.

The survivor of Nazi medical experiments will tell her remarkable story at the Louisiana Memorial Pavilion of the National World War II Museum in downtown New Orleans. There will be a reception at 5 p.m., followed by Kor's presentation at 6 p.m. Beginning at 7 p.m., Kor will sign copies of the book she co-authored, Surviving the Angel of Death: The True Story of a Mengele Twin in Auschwitz.

Kor's lecture is in conjunction with the exhibition “Deadly Medicine: Creating the Master Race,” on view at the National World War II Museum through Oct. 15. Tulane University students can visit the exhibition for free.
