Hullaba-whodat

Before writing laws she was writing headlines.

Before she was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Corinne “Lindy” Claiborne Boggs was a member of The Hullabaloo staff as the Newcomb College editor. Joining her at the table in this 1935 yearbook photo are, among others, editor-in-chief T. Hale Boggs, who later became U.S. House majority leader, and assistant campus editor Howard K. Smith Jr., who became one of the legendary CBS World War II correspondents known as “Murrow"s Boys” and later a news anchor for ABC. In the photo, Lindy Claiborne is the second from the right in front.
