Idea exchange

Hanging from the ceiling of the Goldring/Woldenberg Business Complex atrium is Exchange, an art installation created by Teresa Cole, professor of art in the Newcomb Art Department. The piece consists of 30 metal cylinders, each with a distinct pattern from different cultures around the globe, including two New Orleans ironwork patterns. Cole said, “The idea was to connect the local with the global and call attention to how culture is an exchange of ideas.”
