The Insider: Get your discounted Jazz Fest tickets today!

The choice is easy when it comes to attending the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, but Tulane University sweetens the deal by offering discounted admission tickets and a free shuttle ride to members of the Tulane community.

The promotion is available thanks to a partnership among Tulane Shuttles and Transportation, the Division of Student Affairs, University Services, Barnes & Noble bookstore, and Coca-Cola.

Beginning April 18, discounted festival tickets can be purchased at the uptown and downtown bookstore locations for $65 each — a $15 discount off the door price. To get the special price, Tulane affiliates must present a Splash Card and purchase either three 1-liter bottles of Smart Water or three bottles of Powerade per ticket.

Since 2012, discounted tickets have been available to Tulane students, faculty and staff through a partnership between Barnes & Noble, University Services, and Coca-Cola. The program started four years ago with 900 tickets; due to demand, the number of available tickets has grown to 1,400 tickets this year.

The Office of Student Affairs and Tulane Shuttles and Transportation will run free shuttles to and from the festival on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, from the Diboll Garage on the uptown campus starting at 10 a.m. each day. In previous years, the shuttle has accommodated between 1,500 and 2,000 students. Up to four guests may ride along with a Splash Card holder.

“Shuttles & Transportation drivers enjoy driving for this event each year, and they are excited to be a part of the Tulane community’s Jazz Fest experience,” said Director of Transportation Brian Lowe.
