this video produced by Nick Marinello.

His role in the karate dojo is not unlike his role in the classroom, says Papadopoulos. In both arenas, the teacher must find ways or "tricks" to facilitate a student's comprehension.

The Tulane Karate Club, which was founded in the mid-1960s by Takayuki Mikami, comprises both beginning and advanced courses. All classes are held on campus in the Reily Student Recreation Center. No previous martial arts experience is required to join.
