Life in a fishbowl
Senior Kerchal Byrd records the reactions of a betta fish as he manipulates a straw fixed with an image of a fish. Byrd and his classmates were investigating animal behavior in the Diversity of Life laboratory on the Tulane University uptown campus. The course is offered by the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Sophomore Morgan Rogers studies the behavior of male and female betta fish occupying adjacent bowls.
Reaching into a bowl of pillbugs, junior Connor Jones prepares an experiment.
