A look back at Tulane's second annual Future of Energy Forum

Tulane University hosted the second annual Future of Energy Forum on Sept. 10-12, 2025, on the uptown campus, bringing together leaders in energy innovation, policy and technology to explore this year's theme: "Powering the Future: Innovation, Competition and Collaboration." Attendees listened to dynamic discussions from more than 90 speakers, forged industry connections at The Exchange and discovered cutting-edge research and innovative energy solutions on display.

Tulane President Michael A. Fitts welcomed the crowd gathered for the three-day forum on the first day. In his opening remarks, Fitts announced plans to launch the Tulane Institute of Advanced Energy Studies, a university-wide hub connecting research and education across science, engineering, law and business.

The forum fostered interdisciplinary collaboration and education on the energy systems powering tomorrow. Explore photo highlights from keynote sessions and events below and stay tuned for a full recap to come.
