Meeting the top cop

Students took a break from classes to sample king cake and meet the new superintendent of the Tulane University Police Department, Jon R. Barnwell, on Wednesday (Jan. 25) at an open meeting for students in the Lavin-Bernick Center.

, left, officially began work on Jan. 17, arriving at Tulane from North Carolina State University, where he was deputy chief of police. He has 15 years of experience in campus law enforcement, management and police administration.
