Music and Mudbugs

The student-organized Crawfest, in its fifth year, served up crawfish and other local food favorites, along with music played by 12 bands from indie rock to zydeco on three stages. The event took place on Saturday (April 16) from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on both the Lavin-Bernick Center and Newcomb quads on the uptown campus.

With lots of sun and a moderate temperature, a swarm of students turns out on the uptown campus to socialize, hear music and eat free crawfish.

On the Newcomb-Tulane College stage, members of the Revivalists jam. This year's Crawfest provided three stages of live music to keep the sound coming nearly nonstop.

At one of several merchandise vendor tents, shoppers consider an array of sundresses offered by IN Exchange. The fair-trade shop moved its wares from the Lavin-Bernick Center to the outdoor Crawfest for the day.
