A detailed wrought iron gate guards the entrance to a cemetery in the Upper 9th Ward.

A detailed wrought-iron gate guards the entrance to St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery No. 1. Located in the Ninth Ward, the cemetery is the final resting place of jazz clarinetist Irving “Fazola” Prestopnik. Fazola was a contemporary of Louis Prima, and an early influence on a young Pete Fountain.
