Passport to Uganda

Class connects with African fellow via Skype.

During a Skype session from Uganda, Nulu Naluyombya pauses to reflect before answering a question from students in the Introduction to Gender and Sexuality Studies class taught by Myriam Huet. Naluyombya, the founder of a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower young girls, is one of 25 young African leaders who participated in the Mandela Washington Fellowship program hosted by Tulane last summer. A new group of fellows will be arriving in June.
