Each month, Tulane University photographers shoot thousands of photos. Their lenses capture little moments and big events. We look back on a few of the memorable days at Tulane in 2011.

January — The Green Wave women's basketball team is on a roll, and so is head coach Lisa Stockton in her 17th season at Tulane. Stockton surpasses her 400th career victory. February — Marjorie Cowen, wife of Tulane President Scott Cowen, has a sweet surprise on Valentine's Day — a serenade and roses from members of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity at Tulane. November — Green Wave men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams have a new home of their own at the $13 million Hertz Center, with its full-size courts, offices, locker rooms and specialized training area designed for court sports. (Photo by Paula Burch-Celentano)

December — Curtis Johnson, receivers coach for the New Orleans Saints, becomes the 39th head football coach for the Green Wave. Johnson brings more than 25 years of coaching experience from both the collegiate and professional level to Tulane. He has been a part of an NFL championship with the Saints and an NCAA national championship with the University of Miami Hurricanes.
