Photos: Basketball breaks bread with fans

The men's basketball team hosted a meet-and-greet luncheon on Monday (Oct. 24) for faculty and staff members and other ardent supporters to generate some buzz about the season, which starts on Nov. 6 with an exhibition game with Loyola University vs. the Green Wave in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

In the Qatar Ballroom at the Lavin-Bernick Center, second-year head coach Ed Conroy tells those in attendance about the unique brand of basketball the team will bring to the court this year and how the team will “be relentless” in representing the university “the right way.”

Center Josh Birchfield is a sophomore on the team this year. “We have 11 new faces [joining the team],” Conroy tells the boosters. “They're doing a super job of learning. I'm excited to watch them go through November and December.”
