Photos: Class dons white coats

The 192 members of the Tulane University School of Medicine Class of 2016 received their first doctor's white jackets on Sunday (Aug. 5) at the school's annual white coat ceremony at McAlister Auditorium on the uptown campus.

The members of this class hail from 101 different schools and colleges. Twenty-two of the students received undergraduate degrees from Tulane, and three come from Louisiana State University. Thirty-three states and three countries — Canada, Jordan and Uganda — are represented in this class. California and Louisiana contributed the most students, with 30 from California and 24 from Louisiana.
