Photos: Hertz Center debuts

Green Wave men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams have a new home of their own at the $13 million Hertz Center, with its full-size courts, offices, locker rooms and specialized training area designed for court sports. A ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday (Nov. 17) celebrated the opening of the center with fans, benefactors, student-athletes and coaches.

“It's a much-needed facility that will give our student-athletes and coaches an immediate boost,” said athletics director Rick Dickson. The Hertz Center is named in honor of the family of Doug Hertz, alumnus and chair of the Tulane Board Committee on Intercollegiate Athletics.
