Photos: Roots and limbs

The trunk of an old oak tree on the uptown campus reaches from the earth to the sky. There are roughly 750 trees on the university's uptown campus, with more than 200 of that number comprising majestic live oaks. They are carefully tended by the Tulane grounds crew.
