Thousands of school children flock to Dixon Hall to experience the Bard's drama and talk with actors from the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane about their performance of Julius Caesar, this year's Performances for the Schools program offering.

Students from a local area school and their teachers enter Dixon Hall for the Shakespeare for Schools performance, a full-length remounting of a summer show for students in the Southeast Louisiana region.

Nearly 6,000 school children fill Dixon Hall over seven days. To augment their lesson plans, teachers received specific study guides that were prepared to correspond to the Louisiana State Educational Curriculum Standards.

Taking the microphone, Clare Moncrief, managing director of the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, points to a student who wants to ask a question of the troupe.

Members of the cast ponder students' questions after dramatizing scenes from Julius Caesar. The production at Tulane was set in 1930s America to become a drama of Depression-era political intrigue.
