Play bald!
Green Wave pitcher Alex Massey, a redshirt sophomore from Baton Rouge, gets a dusting of talcum powder after having his head shaved for the Vs. Cancer Foundation on Sunday (March 23). The entire baseball team, including some coaches, shaved their heads to raise money for the foundation, which was founded by Chase Jones, nephew of Tulane baseball head coach Rick Jones.
Pitcher Randy LeBlanc was one of the first to step up to have his head shaved for the Vs. Cancer Foundation.
Players weren't the only ones to go bald for the cause. Volunteer coach Shooter Hunt, left, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Jake Gautreau, center, and associate head coach Chad Sutter showed their support for the foundation which raises money and awareness for pediatric cancer.
Hair flew and more than $10,000 was raised for the charity as friends, family and fans looked on in the rotunda of the Wilson Center on the Tulane University uptown campus.
