Origins of the Tulane Blarney Stone remain a mystery.

The Tulane Blarney Stone is a fixture on the patio between Stanley Thomas and Blessey Halls on the university"s uptown campus. The stone"s origin is unknown, but according to professor Robert Bruce, “The Blarney Stone appeared at the College of Engineering in 1945. The students adopted it in keeping with the tradition of St. Patrick being the patron saint of the engineering profession.”
