Those who enjoy Green Wave football can arrive at 3:30 p.m. that day and watch an open team practice that ends at 5 p.m. Free parking is available in the lot on South Claiborne Avenue next to Greer Field at Turchin Stadium, or in the Diboll Parking Garage on Ben Weiner Drive.

This year's fan day will feature student-athletes and coaching staffs from the Green Wave's football, volleyball, men's and women's cross country and women's golf teams. For the kids, there will be autograph opportunities, inflatables, a face painter and balloon animals. Food and drinks will be provided by a number of restaurants, including the Pita Pit, Pinkberry Yogurt and Domino's Pizza.

Music will be provided by P2 Entertainment, and fans will have a chance to leave a video message for the football team that will be played during home games at the Louisiana Superdome. There also will be photo opportunities with players and coaches, along with student-athlete action cut-outs. Fans also can pick up 2010 football and volleyball posters and schedule cards.

Todd Graffagnini, the voice of the Green Wave, will emcee the event, and each head coach from a fall sport will address the crowd. The Tulane Marching Band and spirit squads also will make an appearance.

Tulane football opens its season in the Louisiana Superdome on Thursday, Sept. 2, against Southeastern Louisiana University. Football and volleyball season tickets are available online or by calling 504-861-9283.
