Registration open for annual Wave of Green Day of Service
Tulane’s 2020 faculty and staff day of service, Wave of Green, will take place Thursday, April 9. The annual day of service was created as a way for faculty and staff to come together as Tulanians and make a difference in the community.
Volunteers can participate in various activities across the city, including sorting Mardi Gras beads at Arc of Greater New Orleans, cleaning up City Park, sorting donations at Second Harvest Food Bank, clearing catch basins with Clean it Up NOLA or supporting another one of our community partners.
On the uptown campus, the day begins and ends at Yulman Stadium. Transportation will be provided from the stadium to each volunteer site, as well as snacks, beverages and a closing lunch for all participants in the Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Family Club.
Registration is open for faculty and staff and participants must pre-register by March 20 in order to participate in Wave of Green.
Coordinating service activities will take place at the Tulane National Primate Research Center for those faculty and staff members as well. Faculty and staff interested in volunteering for the center event should contact Stacey Schwankhart.
