Royal registration

Elizabeth Nicholson, Queen of Carnival 1948, right, gets help from assistant registrar Aurelia Schilling as she registers for spring semester classes at Newcomb College shortly before her reign over the Rex parade. Nicholson served as queen for that year’s Rex, Dr. Alton Ochsner, former chair of the Department of Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine.
