The season is upon us

While much of the nation may be lamenting the passing of the holiday season New Orleans is getting ready for the real celebration to begin. Carnival Season begins on January 6 — called Epiphany, Twelfth Night or Kings’ Day — and with it comes the King Cake, nearly ubiquitous in the region until Mardi Gras day, which falls on February 28 this year.
