Simply The Shins

There's nothing like a rock concert to get the campus in the mood for spring break, which officially starts on Sunday (March 24) and lasts through April 1. And so students (and other fans) welcomed The Shins on Monday (March 18) to McAlister Auditorium, thanks to Tulane University Campus Programming.

The indie rock band had fans dancing in the aisles at the sold-out concert. As a thank you to the student volunteers who organize the TUCP concerts, the TUCP staffers enjoyed a VIP section up front.

Their current tour is taking them next to Texas and Arizona later this week, but local fans may want to circle the date of May 17, when The Shins will be among a host of bands at the Hangout Music Fest in Gulf Shores, Ala.
