Speak up to support campus projects

Members of the university community can show their support for campus construction projects by signing an online petition, writing city officials and other actions. Construction of the new Tulane stadium, as well as planned work on the university's library, could be delayed by a proposed zoning measure.

Anyone who wants to take a stand against the zoning proposal can go online to the stadium website and click on “speak up for the stadium.”

The site offers five courses of action for those who support the Tulane projects:

• Email members of the New Orleans City Council;

• Attend the council meeting on Thursday (May 3) at 10 a.m. at City Hall, 1300 Perdido St.;

• Sign the online petition in support of Tulane stadium;

• Write to the Times-Picayune; and

• Display a yard sign that is available free of charge at the James W. Wilson Jr. Center on the uptown campus.
