Splash!

With sizzling summer heat in New Orleans, kids are enjoying the new Cool Zoo splash park at Audubon Zoo, located near the Tulane uptown campus. It's a great way for youngsters to cool off, with jumping water spouts, a large alligator water slide, a spider monkey soaker and water-spitting snakes. There is shaded seating and an area specifically for toddlers and younger kids. Follow it up with sweet sno-balls, and that's a perfect summer outing.
