Super way to support Green Wave student-athletes

A lucky Tulane fan will be winning two game tickets to Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans, thanks to a raffle now under way that is benefiting Tulane student-athletes.

Green Wave fans can purchase raffle tickets online at $100 each until 7 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan. 30).

The winning ticket will be drawn on Wednesday during the Tulane men's basketball game against the University of Central Florida at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse on the uptown campus. Raffle tickets also will be sold at the game, which begins at 7 p.m. The raffle ticket drawing will be held at approximately 8 p.m. but the ticket winner does not need to be present in order to win.

The parents of a Tulane undergraduate won last year's raffle for Super Bowl tickets. Jan and Bernie Barrish of Randolph, N.J., whose son Zachary is now a Tulane senior, were thrilled to be in Indianapolis on Feb. 5, 2012, to watch the New York Giants defeat the New England Patriots, 21-17.
