Top 5 reasons to pitch in at Wave of Green Day of Service

The sixth annual Wave of Green Day of Service will be on Thursday, March 24. While Tulane University students are on spring break, faculty and staff members will volunteer to take one day to give back to the New Orleans area.

Whether sorting Mardi Gras beads at Arc of Greater New Orleans, beautifying City Park, or supporting other community partners such as Youth Rebuilding New Orleans, Second Harvest Food Bank or the Northshore Nature Center, Tulane employees will demonstrate how one day can make a significant difference in the community.

The day will begin at Turchin Stadium on the uptown campus, where buses will fan out to the different volunteer sites. The university provides round-trip transportation from campus to each site, snacks and beverages at the various locations, and a closing lunch at Turchin Stadium for all participants.
