Trio of Green Wave Games

Conference USA action heats up this weekend as the Tulane men's and women's basketball teams play games at home.

The weekend trio of games starts tonight (Jan. 8) when the women's team opens C-USA competition against the University of Houston at 7 p.m. at Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse. A "Father/Daughter Date Night" ticket special offers a child's ticket free when one adult ticket is purchased. The women's team has won nine games in a row and has an 11-2 record.

That same ticket special will be available on Saturday (Jan. 9) when the men's team plays at 7 p.m. against the University of Alabama-Birmingham. The Green Wave men started C-USA play on the road against the University of Tulsa on Sunday (Jan. 6), losing 73-59 to bring the Tulane record to 5-9.

The athletics department is promoting "pack the house" attendance on Sunday (Jan. 10) at 1 p.m. for the women's game against Rice University, which will be televised on the CBS College Sports Network. Tulane faculty and staff members will receive free entry with their university ID.
