Tulane medical students host career day for teens

 

WHAT: 35 high school students from the Baton Rouge area will learn what it’s like to become a physician as part of Career MD Day, a hands-on experience hosted by Tulane University School of Medicine. The students will perform medical procedures including CPR, surgery and suturing on life-like robotic mannequins.

WHERE: Tulane Center for Advanced Medical Simulation and Training, 131 S. Robertson, 3rd floor

WHEN: Wed., January 27, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.

MORE: The event is co-sponsored by the Central Louisiana Area Health Education Center (AHEC), a non-profit agency developed to address the growing shortage of healthcare workers in rural areas across the state.
