Tulane Health System recently celebrated the opening of Tulane Physical Therapy, a new stand-alone physical therapy clinic at 3750 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie. The 3,600-square-foot clinic is a partnership between Tulane Health System and PT Solutions.

“What makes us different is our therapists,” said Kevin Duffy, director of physical therapy at PT Solutions. “Our merit is based in our hearts, minds and hands … Many of Tulane’s patients call Metairie home and we want to offer them the convenience of receiving expert physical therapy care right in their own neighborhood.”

The clinic is outfitted with the latest treatment options including exercise machines, dry needling, an Xbox Kinect, and more to help patients meet and exceed their therapy milestones. The clinic treats adults and children.

“Part of Tulane Health System’s mission is to provide world-class patient care right here in our community,” said Dr. William Lunn, president and CEO of Tulane Health System. “This physical therapy clinic has only been open a short time, but we are already exceeding expectations and plan to add another therapist to the location.”

Representatives from the Jefferson Chamber of Commerce and elected officials attended a ceremonial ribbon cutting on June 21.

“We’ve learned after all the storms we’ve had, that we really need two things to get back to the area: We need our schools to open, and we need quality healthcare,” said Todd Murphy, Jefferson Chamber president. “We really appreciate the commitment of HCA and Tulane bringing quality health care. This new clinic is an improvement to Veterans Boulevard and a great location for patients.”
